The Department of Philosophy, Linguistics and Theory of Science at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, announces four (4) funded positions as doctoral student in Practical Philosophy, General Linguistics (including Language Technology and Phonetics), Theory of Science and Logic. PhD students at the department are invited to participate in the activities of the Dialogue Technology Lab (DTL). DTL is one of three labs within the Centre for Language Technology (CLT) at the University of Gothenburg. Research in DTL encompasses the intersection of dialogue (human-machine or human-human, spoken or multimodal) and language and communication technologies (dialogue systems, mobile phones, etc.). We focus especially on formal models of dialogue, dialogue technology applications, and dialoge corpora and analysis. DTL includes members from the Department of Philosophy, Linguistics and Theory of Science (Faculty of Arts), Applied IT (IT Faculty) and Computer Science (IT Faculty / Chalmers).
